Liposuction Alternative – Velasmooth:

Mischa Barton was caught flashing cellulite again and her thighs looked no better now than they did the last time. It’s good to know that she’s still ‘homely’ under all the war paint.

But sadly, Mischa’s rep had to go and spoil my opinion about her by saying that some sneaky person did a nasty photoshop job on her and gave her the thighs of an 80-year-old. Oh yes, we know you have it baby. Hiding cellulite ain’t gonna change it!

Its not like cellulite is harmful- the only harm it does is cause certain parts of the body to look less pretty than the rest. So for those of you, who like Mischa have a problem with cellulite you can think about having a Velasmooth treatment.

This cosmetic surgery treatment is a very convenient noninvasive alternative to liposuction surgery and makes use of infra-red energy and radio frequency to do the job. The Velasmooth device is available at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

Using the hand held device, plastic surgeons can achieve results similar to what liposuction surgery can accomplish. Body contouring in a painless manner is the best part about this plastic surgery treatment.

Oh, and another thing- Velasmooth is cleared by the FDA for the medical treatment of cellulite. So now you can enjoy significantly smoother skin in the hips, abdominal, buttock, arms, calves, and neck and bra line areas without worrying too much.

Get a step ahead of Mischa and get in touch with our advanced surgical institute for liposuction surgery in Orange County and other noninvasive treatments for treating cellulite.

Liposuction Alert - Robbie Williams Rocks The Lard Tub

He’s thirty three years old.

He’s worth £130 million.

He’s Robbie Williams.

So would you have him? A few years ago a lot of women would have stripped for him and a lot of men would have turned green with envy. But rollover to 2008 and his hiatus from his singing career, women aren’t sweating too much over Robbie Williams and the men are more then ecstatic.

Currently residing in sunny LA, Robbie Williams has gained pounds of weight and looks nothing like the pin-up boy of pop group Take That. He looks like a candidate for some serious liposuction surgery or weight loss.

His dark, devilish looks have given over to a shaggy mop top and a beard you could hide in. According a survey carried out by the Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group, one thirds of British men worry that they might end up piling on the pounds like Robbie Williams in their middle age.

Another 18 percent are wary about beer bellies that are difficult to banish.

And thankfully, both these problems can be remedied with liposuction procedures. Robbie Williams could certainly do with this cosmetic surgery procedure that’s specially designed to take good care of fat that has become difficult to control or lose.

Think you need some cosmetic liposuction work? Get in touch with the Plastic Surgery Institute of California. We have some great plastic surgery solutions that might work just fine for you.

Liposuction Advances For The Summer Season:

When laser assisted lipolysis came onto the cosmetic surgery scene it brought about a major revaluation of fat removal and body contouring processes like liposuction and tummy tuck procedures like a mini-abdominoplasty.

Devices like Cynosure’s SmartLipo™, Sciton's ProLipo™ and more recently Osyris’ Lipotherm™ have enabled plastic surgeons to offer their patients less painful avenues to shape their body. These devices are classified as equipment applied in laser assisted lipolysis.

Laser assisted lipolysis devices target laser beams to those areas of the body containing localized fat deposits. The concentrated beams dissolve fat by liquefying them. While the SmartLipo™ device uses a 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser fiber to rupture fat cells and suck them through a cannula, the Lipotherm™ device takes care of localized fat using a smaller concentration of laser beams (980 nm).

These devices however accomplish the liposuction procedure without any need for surgery. They are considerably safer than fat dissolving injections as well, which are yet facing the wrath of the FDA.

For the summer season, these non-invasive liposuction laser treatments are a great option because they do away with a lot of the discomfort patients face during recovery from a liposuction surgery.

A point to remember however, is the limited areas these laser assisted devices can treat which include only small areas like the calves, lower back, knees, etc.

If you want to know of more ways in which you can enjoy your summer get in touch with our consultants at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

Why Liposuction Is Not A Good Idea If You Have Popping Veins:

The popular fitness reality show American Gladiators is going to air its second season on NBC tomorrow and (OMG!) the Gladiators are staggering images of perfection!

On a more serious note though, has it ever occurred to you that almost all of these buffed and super-fit gods and goddesses seem to have bulging veins crisscrossing their bodies? The women especially looked rather fierce (and hot!) according to me.

The prominent vein appearance is actually because people who have such heavy muscle mass also tend to have less subcutaneous fat in their skin. Angelina Jolie would be a good example to cite out here.

Her body fat content is very low and her rigorous exercise and dieting regimes are legendary. Except for Madonna, the lady doesn’t seem to have any other competition!

So, if you fall in that category of people who have less subcutaneous fat (less than 15 percent), chances are you won’t need a liposuction surgery in a hurry. Even a hint of flab in your body should be taken as a sign from god and should be worked hard on to multiply (just kidding).

It may sound strange, but in order to have a liposuction surgery there is a limit for the total body fat you need to possess and can remove. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you out here. Give us a call at our advanced surgical institute.

A Liposuction In Beverly Hills Art Form - Abdominal Etching:

Abdominal etching as the name suggests while not your traditional art style is definitely a modern plastic surgery technique.

A lot of people argue that plastic surgery is an art form, albeit one with serious consequences if the art techniques particular to it are not appropriately followed. An abdominal etching procedure therefore has certain requirements that the liposuction plastic surgeon has to ascertain are fulfilled.

The nature of abdominal etching is such that it can work only on removing excess fat and skin. It cannot be used for tightening up muscles or removing them. In this, it is a typical liposuction surgery procedure.

Thus, one of the first requirements for this cosmetic surgery procedure is a liposuction or tummy tuck candidate that has localized deposits of fat in their abdominal area. Patients possessing excessive fat deposits are not recommended to undergo this procedure.

This liposuction procedure involves shaping grooves in the underlying fat layers so that once recovered, the patient’s stomach will have the ribbed appearance characteristic to washboard abs. Because of the detailed work warranted by the surgery, it is best you establish that your plastic surgeon is skilled and is a certified cosmetic surgeon.

The Plastic Surgery Institute of California can help you out here. Get in touch with us and we’ll advice you further on abdominal etching liposuction.

Gastroplasty – The Prelude To Liposuction:

Darlene Cates, one of the stars in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? underwent a gastroplasty in 1981 when the surgery was yet in its early stages of development. Since then there have been many changes and improvements that have been introduced in weight loss surgeries like gastroplasty, which are increasingly being used to treat the overweight and obese over the world.

This weight loss surgery procedure made use of stomach staples and created a smaller pouch in the stomach. It was the first totally restrictive operation performed for treating obesity. This technique however did not take immediate care of the fat deposits present in a patient’s body.

Doctors found that the plastic surgery procedure known as liposuction was the answer to this problem. Patients can have a liposuction surgery to drain the abdominal and surrounding areas of excess and unwanted fat. For the morbidly obese this is an excellent solution to get rid of body weight that weighs them down.

One important point that patients have to remember though is that liposuction procedures do not take care of the skin that is left behind after the removal of subcutaneous fat. For this a tummy tuck surgery or a mini tummy tuck can be of help.

You might want to discuss this with an experienced plastic surgeon and your personal physician before you take any further step though. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California recommends taking this step because all the surgeries involved are major and warrant many considerations.

A ‘Flab Jab’ Going To Replace Liposuction? Not Likely:

It just might get icky if you try to wriggle out of a flab jab – a basically soy-based injectable.

Touted as the next big-thing in plastic surgery for dissolving unwanted fat, this cosmetic treatment is being preached as an alternative to a liposuction surgery. Also called lipostabil and lipotherapy, Phosphatidycholine could have a dangerous effect on the patient who is using it instead of a liposuction procedure.

A study conducted by the Independent on Sunday found disturbing data about this treatment. Regardless of manufacturer warnings that the ingredient is not to be injected into fat, it is being applied in several cosmetic surgery clinics.

Quick-fixes tend to leave long-lasting effects on the user- many of them bad. This is generally the small print ignored by many plastic surgery patients who want to scrimp up on money and settle for a sub-standard job.

Get a liposuction procedure performed by a plastic surgeon that has his credentials right and is licensed to practice. Ask around. Check up. Make inquiries. After all it’s your body which is being entrusted into his hands.
