When people want to lose weight they generally go on a diet. Eating in moderation or in extremity, juice and pasta, detox diets, etc. the avenues pursued are countless.
There are even people who swear by fruit diets and exist only on fruits. If recent studies are anything to go by, this latter group of dieters could be in jeopardy. The research, conducted by US scientists found fructose- a naturally occurring sugar in fresh fruits and honey among other things, to be more harmful than glucose.
If this research is to be given weight it could mean a potential deterrent to such weight loss efforts.
This, in turn would naturally affect liposuction statistics as well as it is one of the quickest ways to lose excess flab (over here put on by fructose in the mid-riff area in such a diet). Normally dietitians and cosmetic surgeons don't encourage overweight individuals to pursue liposuction surgery as a weight loss option.
But in cases where the excess weight cannot be discarded by regular exercise and diet a liposuction procedure is considered to be an excellent course of action.
At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we do not discount such studies and research as obesity and the problems caused due to it are one of the reasons why individuals opt for a liposuction surgery.
We are affiliated with professional dietitians as well in case you need help in maintaining your post-surgery figure or physique.
