Can Fruits Really Make You Fat?

When people want to lose weight they generally go on a diet. Eating in moderation or in extremity, juice and pasta, detox diets, etc. the avenues pursued are countless.

There are even people who swear by fruit diets and exist only on fruits. If recent studies are anything to go by, this latter group of dieters could be in jeopardy. The research, conducted by US scientists found fructose- a naturally occurring sugar in fresh fruits and honey among other things, to be more harmful than glucose.

If this research is to be given weight it could mean a potential deterrent to such weight loss efforts.

This, in turn would naturally affect liposuction statistics as well as it is one of the quickest ways to lose excess flab (over here put on by fructose in the mid-riff area in such a diet). Normally dietitians and cosmetic surgeons don't encourage overweight individuals to pursue liposuction surgery as a weight loss option.

But in cases where the excess weight cannot be discarded by regular exercise and diet a liposuction procedure is considered to be an excellent course of action.

At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we do not discount such studies and research as obesity and the problems caused due to it are one of the reasons why individuals opt for a liposuction surgery.

We are affiliated with professional dietitians as well in case you need help in maintaining your post-surgery figure or physique.

David Beckham’s Dee-lish (but fake) Body

Just look at him. Not a spare ounce of fat or an unruly love handle on him. David Beckham for what its worth, looks like god's very own and personalized gift to women!

The football star turned underwear model preened and posed for the camera to grace the 2008 autumn/winter collection campaign for Emporio Armani. While women all over the world are gawking and drooling at his yumminess, the men are displaying varying tones of envy and contempt.

Envy for David Beckham's liposuction spokesperson body and contempt for his 'package' which I have to admit looks very exaggerated. Rumors are flying that his manhood is enormously augmented and heavily airbrushed.

Either way, there is no need to worry if David has been padded as he's only carrying on a longstanding tradition among male underwear models. Sadly more men than women attribute a large size to being one of the 'signs' of masculinity.

Small wonder then cosmetic surgeons specializing in penile enlargements find such brisk business and so many takers.

While we don't really offer the above procedure, we can help you out with liposuction procedures for a lean and mean body like Beckham's. The Plastic Surgery Institute of California know just how to take out fat from certain areas of the male body and add volume to others lacking in it.

Give us a call or drop by to see the other liposuction surgery options we offer.

Liposuction Tip: Savor Your Relationship With Your Food

Take a bite (a small one), taste it, chew it thoroughly and then gulp it down. A small, useful and very necessary process, there is more than you think to eating,

According to researchers at Duke Integrative Medicine a division of Duke University Health System, an individual should first ask himself if he is hungry and rate his hunger on a scale of 1 to 7, 1 being starving and 7, stuffed. Ideally, you ought to halt eating just before you stuff yourself.

Following this practice is supposed to help people consume a lesser quantity of food and keep themselves satiated. The researchers call this process 'Mindful Eating'.

While this study does not give any definite proof and help for weight loss there are a few paragons who have reported a decrease in weight. Worth a try for those who want to skip options like liposuction surgery.

To its credit, liposuction presents a more long term and visible flab-reducing alternative for those who wish to shed the pounds. Yet the cosmetic surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California suggest candidates try natural weight loss options before opting for cosmetic surgery.

Not only does such a practice help people regulate their lifestyles, it also starts them on the road to weight control which is a must after a liposuction procedure. If you don't control your weight, you are more likely to lose the effects of the procedure.

Brigitte Nielson – Liposuction Spokesperson?

The buxom Dane has never struck me as the liposuction type and always seemed more of a breast surgery model with her 36-C cup.

Brigitte is going and getting herself a liposuction surgery though in an effort to banish the stain on plastic surgery. Set to star in a reality series that will document her liposuction and other cosmetic enhancements, Brigitte thinks that the secrecy surrounding cosmetic surgery in Hollywood is annoying.

With her liposuction documented and televised for the world to see, Brigitte thinks she is on the right track. She says, “It’s not right that the fans, the normal women, are lied to.”

Whether she proves it to the world that cosmetic surgery is a normal thing for people to indulge in or not, I am a bit skeptical about her need to have a liposuction procedure. For a 44-year-old Brigitte looks pretty damn fine and hasn’t lost a bit of that sizzle that saw her riding on the wings of success in the 90’s.

For liposuction at the Plastic Surgery Institute of California, all you need is a body that has enough stubborn fat which is in absolutely vital need to trim off. Reasons to have a liposuction surgery generally include excess weight, medical reasons and at times cosmetic correction as well.

While we don’t televise your lipoplasty to the whole world, we do ask you if you want a record (before and after liposuction pictures) of your liposuction surgery. We take privacy very seriously at our advanced surgical institute.

Matt Damon Needs A Liposuction!

I’m sure most of you watched the Bourne Identity and all the sequels to it. Matt Damon exercised and worked out a lot for the role and his hard work paid off with a body that looked like it was built for heavyweight wrestling.

Matt is a regular family man and fitness enthusiast though and admits to having a schedule consisting of only exercise, sleep and work prior to his baby. If it weren’t for his meaty role in The Informant, his weight gain would have been very shocking.

Thankfully, prosthetic body suits and clever makeup do the job of piling on the pounds for these actors. Matt would have had to go in for a cosmetic surgery like liposuction to get rid of the excess baggage otherwise. Somehow I feel he would rather end up on the treadmill than the cosmetic surgeon’s table.

I am on the mark here because aging Hollywood star Mickey Rourke advised the 37-year-old actor to stay off plastic surgery and unprofessional behavior when in the acting business. Something that Matt Damon is taking to heart.

Let’s see how far Matt Damon stays liposuction surgery-free and how soon he drops the pounds after he wraps up The Informant.

Does Kim Kardashian Need To Work Out?

Probably the only woman to give Jennifer Lopez a run for her money, Kim Kardashian is right on top in the booty-licious list.

The socialite’s backside, in my opinion, has courted more controversy than her sex tapes and is one asset Kim has to defend regularly. Everything from fat transfer liposuction surgery to prosthetic buttock implants and aids have been hinted at.

While Kim’s butt is not really going to be on the line from saving the world from wildfires, it is going to feature heavily in a workout video that will save many women from letting their bodies go.

Kim has released the fitness video in collaboration with her trainer Kathy Kaehler and the public has mixed reactions, which is predictable. While some veer towards the nasty given her attention-grabbing exploits, others are of the opinion that she isn’t really a fitness role model.

I have to agree with the latter group here as Kim is very notorious for her preference for cosmetic surgery and maintaining her appearance with its help. Just last month she had a cellulite reducing surgery and her breast enhancement is no secret.

What do you think? Is Kim Kardashian a fitness role-model or a liposuction and plastic surgery role-model? Send your views to the Plastic Surgery Institute of California.

Liposuction -Think About It, Go For It

“It’s very difficult for me to decide, if I need to slim down or stay the way I am. Some people (the thin ones) have it lucky and are evaluated positively, while others (like me) are criticized on the basis of their body-type. But, I don’t need to pay attention to the world. I am happy with myself.” This is what 36-year-old Martha had to say when she was overweight and in her pre-liposuction days. Today, with our help she has transformed herself into a svelte, confident mother of two.

In my opinion, excuses like Martha’s go down the drain when that inner voice sneaks out on you ordering, “Stop pretending!”. Even when you decide to listen to it, all you generally do is mislay a lot of energy through rigorous exercises and so-called healthy diets.

Let me tell you that there are other methods of losing weight.

Plastic surgery for instance, has splendid options like liposuction- a very popular weight loss treatment. It is a surgical procedure that vacuums fat deposits from under the skin and discards it. Very frequently liposuction is combined with cosmetic surgery procedures such as a facelift and neck lift.

A tummy tuck surgery and lower body lift often accompany a liposuction procedure as well. For some patients a combination liposuction surgery gives unambiguous results and is completely worth it.

The Plastic Surgery Institute of California has a very good record of handling patients who wish to undergo any kind of cosmetic surgery. If like Martha you too want to think hard about your weight problems get in touch with our liposuction consultants.

Nicole Richie’s Liposuction-free Life

Nicole Richie is going great guns these days, what with baby Harlow and supporting all her pet charities and all.

Nicole has come far from her Simple Life days, where her claim to fame was as Paris Hilton’s BFF and as Lionel Richie’s daughter. Post-television and a baby with fiancĂ© Joel Madden, member of Good Charlotte, she finally seems to have found a role she is comfortable in and respected for- a mother.

Nicole hasn’t always been this grounded though- after all she was under Paris Hilton’s wings. During her early pregnancy period, she was still looking like a sack of bones and was criticized for her lack of personal health. Nicole then, had to yet get over the anorexic image she had cultivated.

Today, she looks less so and more like a women who has come to terms with her body and herself. She didn’t require any plastic surgery either to get back in shape, though I d doubt she is going to have something like liposuction surgery or any lower body modification.

During one episode of Simple Life, Nicole was asked to hold back a woman who was having a liposuction procedure and the experience was so ‘terrifying’ that it made her swear off any liposuction in the future.

Oh well, not like she needs any with her naturally thin frame. At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we only treat patients who have a significant amount of unwanted, excess fat they want to discard for a liposuction.

If Charlie Sheen Had Liposuction…

…Denise Richards would have some thing prettier to aim her shoe at in court.

But jokes apart, Charlie looks pretty worse for wear in pictures of him with his new wife on their Costa Rica holiday.

Sitting next to his 30-year-old wife, 42-year-old Charlie looks absolutely old and outdated and very much the cantankerous husband Brooke makes him out to be. Methinks a liposuction surgery here and a tuck there would zap all that middle-age flab hanging off him.

A thigh liposuction and lower body lift would do just the trick to get his lower half in shape. His belly region would also benefit with some tummy toning after a liposuction.

Charlie’s marriage pics are no better and show him looking decidedly dowdy standing next to the sparkling and glowing Brooke Mueller. After all the mud-slinging that went on during the divorce proceedings with his ex-wife, you would think Charlie might have wanted to do some damage repair with his image.

But Denise takes the cake for self-salvaging with her looking smashing in her new reality show It’s Complicated. Here’s one person who won’t be needing liposuction in a hurry now.

Eek…Fat’s Here To Stay!

Twenty is a time when a person is on the threshold of adulthood and should be a period where the body has more or less settled into a natural shape and rhythm. But if the new study on fat is anything to go by, 20 could just symbolize a prolonging of teenage growing up pangs.

The study conducted by the team at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California found that the fat cells present in the body since birth are more or less the fixed number of cells that see us till the end of our days.

The eating habits and exercise followed by children were also found to affect the level of obesity or lack of it in adults.

While this could be good news for genetically thin children, it could be terrible for chubby ones. Researchers suggest that obesity control should begin from a young age so that by twenty, the person is left with a controlled number of fat cells.

It’s still a work in progress though and while I wonder about the effects it could have on children, I am left hoping that it turns out to be a better option than liposuction for young teens.

Liposuction procedures when performed on young adults as a way to control obesity has been performed successfully by plastic surgeons but is viewed as more of a last resort. Here’s hoping studies like these throw some more light on fat control.
